How to prepare a Pink Espresso Tonic with Ethiopia Espresso DFRNT

An espresso tonic with character, bright acidity, and an unexpected twist. This is the Espresso Tonic Pink — our way of breaking the rules of classic coffee using Etiopía Espresso DFRNT, a coffee designed to create, not just to drink.

Because it is a coffee with floral and fruity notes, bright acidity, and medium body. Perfect to balance with the sweetness of the pink tonic and the ice. This espresso doesn't hide: it leads the drink with personality and leaves a signature in every sip.

🧊 Ingredients (for 1 glass):

  • ☕️ 30 ml of Etiopía Espresso DFRNT

  • 🍓 120 ml of Schweppes Pink

  • 🧊 6–8 large ice cubes

  • (Optional) Lemon slice or grapefruit twist


🥄 Instructions:

  1. Fill a tall glass (highball) with ice. This cocktail needs to be very cold.

  2. Add 120 ml of Schweppes Pink over the ice. Do it slowly to avoid breaking the bubbles.

  3. Extract a 30 ml espresso using Etiopía Espresso DFRNT.

  4. Pour the espresso slowly over the tonic. Use a spoon to control the pour if you want to achieve that layered visual effect.

  5. Don't mix. Serve it like this and let the experience evolve with each sip.


💡 DFRNT Tip:

This drink works mid-morning, as an aperitif or even as a dessert substitute. If you want to take it to the next level, pair it with a ice cube infused with citrus or hibiscus flower.
