How to make the best carajillo in the simplest way 🥃

The carajillo is a delicious Spanish drink that combines the intensity of coffee with the warmth of a liquor.

The carajillo is one of the favorite cocktails worldwide, ideal both as a digestive after a meal and to enjoy during a reading, a chat with friends, or an afternoon with family. Its charm lies in combining two pleasures in one drink, with coffee being one of its main ingredients.

Using our House Espresso, this recipe highlights the unique flavors of coffee, creating a pleasant experience perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 espresso of Colombia Espresso (30-40 ml)
  • 30 ml of liquor (can be brandy, rum, or aguardiente)
  • Sugar to taste (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)

Utensils:

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the espresso: Make an espresso using our Colombia Espresso in your coffee maker. Make sure it is well concentrated to balance the flavor of the liquor.

  2. Heat the liquor: In a small saucepan, gently heat the liquor you have chosen. Do this over very low heat to avoid boiling.

  3. Combine the ingredients: In a heat-resistant glass, pour the hot liquor and then add the freshly made espresso. If you prefer it sweeter, add sugar to taste and stir well.

  4. Garnish (optional): Sprinkle a little ground cinnamon over the drink to enhance its aroma.

  5. Serve and enjoy: Enjoy your hot carajillo, ideal to savor after a meal or as an afternoon energizer.
